1.       President (Jennifer Obiedzinski) 

·       Toy Drive to support the Youth Aid Division. The class with the most donations will get a pizza party sponsored by the Bloomfield Police Dept. Collections until 12/15. 

2.       Board of Ed Rep (Kasey Dudley)

·       New board elected will take seats in January. At that time, Kasey will move on as Rep to another elementary school. New Board of Ed rep will be at the January meeting. No new changes in the district will occur until new representatives have been seated.

·       First time Oak View mom as BOE representative.

·       MLK art and poem contest will happen in Jan 2026. Details are coming soon. 

3.       Principal (Michelle Fanning)

·       Thank you to the HSA for all the events and activities and to the 6^th grade parents who came in for career day fair.

·       Coming up: holiday shop, holiday show on 12/17, and holiday parties on 12/22.

·       No more student council – now having Student Voice with Principal’s cabinet. 5^th graders were pulled to meet with Macchio about lunch service. 

4.       Teacher Representative (Mrs. Ritacco)   

·       Thank you for all the treats during conferences.

·       Halloween went smoothly.

·       Teachers have a request during holidays: please let them know if your child will be out of school for early vacation so they can plan their lesson plans accordingly. 

5.       Vice President (Krystal Yip)

·       No updates 

6.       Treasurers (Mona Kaur & Aileen Kakol)

·       No updates. Books and budget remain available. 

7.       Recording Secretary (Kimberly Jaumot)

·       Update on Food Bank Fundraiser – raised $1600. Created 110 food packages for Manna Food Depot with the help of Principal Fanning and Mrs. Roche who helped coordinate with the students who helped put the packages together and create notes to include.  

8.       Corresponding Secretary (Courtney Crespo)   

·       Class parties are coming up on 12/22. 

9.       Committee Updates:     

·       Basketball – 47 teams and 500 kids across all the elementary schools.

o   Games every Saturday between 9am and 5pm.

o   Jan – March

o   Oak View Pep Rally in school on 1/9

o   Games kick of on 1/10

o   Game to be held at Demarest and Oak View 

·       Holiday Shop

o   Coming up on 12/12

o   Went out last week.

o   The drawings will be on Monday of each week once it begins in January.

o   Upcoming – Anthony’s Cheesecake – pick up cheesecakes yourself on 12/23.

o   Classes wrapped up and were a success. 

·       Spirit Wear

o   A couple of things on back order, but most things should be in. Any questions ask Amy Watkins. 

·       6th Grade / Yearbook

o   Popcorn fundraiser

o   Helps offset cost of 6^th grade yearbooks and 6^th grade events 

·       New Business 

o   Ideas thrown out by parents:

§  Erin K:

·       School play on-going during school. Can we get the HSA involved so that parents can help volunteer and make it more engaging? Can they do a night performance and charge?

·       Can we somehow do an overnight STEM experience for the kids? Would this be through HSA or school? For example, Frost Valley.

§  Lindsay C:

·       Suggested a couple of fundraisers (ex: used costume sale before next Halloween, jewelry sale from overstock of friend’s business).
