February is Black History Month. MLK Essay and
Poster contest kickoff.

Early Childhood registration opening soon. 3/16 –
Kindergarten registration opens for children 5 or older on Oct 1.

NJAEL: 2026 Sal Gonsalves educational leader of
the year

Congrats to all winter sports teams and STEM teams.

Winter Social (Lindsay)
o 2/6.
Still selling tickets – if you want, email Mona directly. So far 100 families have
bought tickets. Marlie Bakes Cakes providing cookies for decorating. Scavenger
hunt, scarf ice skating, and “snow ball fight”.

Read-a-thon (Cammie/Emily)
o Kicked
off on Monday. Everyone received a folder with name and important dates. Minutes
will be checked on Monday 2/9, Tuesday, 2/17, and Monday, 2/23. Team will
collect and count and return them with results.

Book Fair (Leizl/Keyla/Sarah)
o Upcoming
the week of 2/23. Set up on 2/23, shopping days are 2/24-26. Once class
schedules are given out, volunteers will be notified. Excited for the sale in
new location of the new library.

Used Book Sale (Kim and Rossy)
o Pending
dates and location; ideally looking at end of March
o Start
collecting books to donate!

Talent Show (Cammie)
o Practices
have begun and rolling along. Big groups this year! If your child is in a solo
or small group act, please start sending Cammie sounds in a mp3 file.
o 3/20
evening show 7-9pm. Younger grades are put in first half of show.

Basketball (Joelle)
o Week
5 of games! Rolling along. Schedule is posted on social media if anyone wants
to watch a game.

Calendar Raffle (Maria)
o Underway.
35 chances left to win! Thanks to everyone who participated and congratulations
to all the winners.

Spirit Wear (basketball wear update)

order for basketball wear. It should be delivered tomorrow. It was a one off
this year. Now closed.

Someone Special Sale May 8th (Lisa/Krystal)
o Mother’s
Day plant sale. If you want to get involved, let them know! There will be
volunteering opportunities for planting during the day and evening on the
Wednesday before the sale. Rain or Shine.

Fundraisers raise all the money for all the
things we do. If anyone has a new idea, please present it!

Fundraiser – will be brought to a vote in April. We ask membership to come to
meeting with ideas. Tricky Trays are usually every other year. If you have a
great idea, share it and feel free to offer to chair it.
o Plan
to do Recruitment Event for HSA committees. Possibly align with Kindergarten
orientation – with or after so they can be involved.
o Comment
that doing event on Kindergarten orientation day.
o Interest
in Parent’s night out or dad’s night out. Ideas around sport’s night at a local
restaurant.
o Consider
giving more value for membership. Perhaps tiers. Highest tier get tickets to
all the events. Etc.
