- A motion was brought to the floor to vote the March meeting minutes in. The vote was passed and the April meeting began.
- Principal (Mrs. DiTrani)
- District is implementing new data analysis system that would track all students grades and test scores over time. It is currently available only to district staff, but perhaps will be available to parents eventually.
- STEM assembly was a big hit--thank you to Enrichment Committee!
- Robotics club came to present to 3rd and 4th graders.
- We are celebrating Autism Awareness week this week.
- Spring Concert is on April 18th.
- Wellness Carnival was wonderful--thank you for all volunteers!

- District News:
- Bloomfield schools celbrate SEL Day on March 10th. Students participated in various activities, lessons and activities throughout the day.
- All Bloomfield schools participated on the Sandy Hook Promise initiative, Say Something Week in mid-March.
- The district held a very successful Kindergarten Registration Informational session that was attended by over 100 people. We look forward to meeting and welcoming all of our newest Bengals this Fall. Postscript: look for KG registration flyer coming soon.
- Fine Arts students participated in the Townwide Music Festival at BHS.
- Our very own BOE VP, Kasey Dudley, was recognized by the township as a 2023 Woman To Watch. Congrats to Kasey on this wonderful recognition.

- High School:
- Condolences to the Centinaro Family as well as out Bengal Family on a huge loss this past week. We lost a colleague and friend Mrs. Karen Centinaro. She was Mrs. Jenkins' administrative assistant for the past 20 years.
- Robotics "club" earns "team" status.
- Best of luck to our spring athletes as they participate in their respective sports.
- Congratulations to our hard-working BHS Key Club students.
- We want to congratulate all of our Seniors as they continue to be accepted into many different colleges and universities, and those who have enrolled in trade school and our armed forces. We are proud of all of you as you begin your next journey.

- BMS celebrated Pi Day (3/14). Check BMS social media for lots of fun pictures and videos.
- BMS held a very successful 5th & 6th grade orientation

- Carteret decorates to be inclusive.
- Bloomfield schools wrapped up their One Book SEL Initiative Students throughout the district enjoyed The World According to Humphrey.

- Oak View's Green Team will be hosting a shoe drive in April, and have offered the proceeds to the OVHSA. Stay tuned for communication about the shoe drive!

- "As the 2022/2023 HSA 2nd and 3rd grade clinic and 4-6th grade basketball seasons have come to a close we wanted to say congratulations to all the kids who participated this season. No matter what the scoreboard showed at the end of the game every team represented our school with amazing sportsmanship. Also, thank you to all the volunteer coaches who dedicated their time to help our kids learn the game of basketball. Every team was getting better as each week went on. Lastly, thank you to all the parents, family members, friends and faculty members who came out and cheered us on each week!"

- Thanks for your Book Fair support! We made 15-20% more in sales than in previous years.

- We have the honor of donating (2) scholarships to Oak View Alumni for their college careers.
- Applications have been received, we hope to have an update of recipients at our May meeting

- (Proposed in March) Vote for new AV equipment from Enrichment Committee ($1599)
- AV equipment was voted on together as a package ($2939). This motions was PASSED.
- (Proposed in March) Vote to use surplus funds for Fun Friday from Ava Martinez ($750)
- This motion was PASSED.
- Proposal for library mural from Carley Storm ($5000)
- Discussion: If this was to be approved, has the BOE approved? Mrs. DiTrani still needs BOE approval and will also look for old mural canvas. Can other, less expensive approaches be investigated? Proposal was tabled for now, until we get direction from Mrs. DiTrani via the BOE.
- Discussed proposal for new rugs, chairs and desk covering. Carpet and chairs are recently purchased. This was tabled for now.

- Proposal to use surplus for teacher stipends to help fund their classroom activities and supplies
- Discussion: This would be for September. For startup in September, the HSA will increase allocation for teacher startup. The amount to be voted on would be ($1,000 of surplus).
